,Minnesota’s Merger Syndrome,Stakeholders’ emotional reactions to the merger during the transition stage are outlined in terms of various fears of loss. The political maneuvering by both men’s and women’s stakeholders to secure their status post-merger is discussed including gendered political processes involved in the search for a new athletic director.
