A Pulsed, Multi-Kilohertz-Repetition-Rate, Supersonic HF Chemical Laserspecies. Average power of 12 watts has been obtained from a hydrogen/sulfur-hexafluoride/helium mixture. It is suggested that this apparatus can be used to overcome some of the inherent problems in achieving quasi-continuous laser operation based on chain reaction in fluorine/hydrogen mixtures.

Enhanced Mixing in Co-Flowing Laminar Streamsach number of about 5 and with a static pressure of about 2000 Pa. Due to the extremely small dimensions of the nozzles and the low density of the gases, the Reynolds numbers based on nozzle width is of the order of 1000 and the flow is commonly laminar.

Experimental Study of the Spectral Output of a DF-Laser equilibrium are small. Fluorescence spectroscopy and gain measurements showed no measurable deviation from rotational equilibrium. The rotational numbers of the dominating laser lines were calculated from measured densities and temperatures and are compared to experimental laser spectra.
