Extraction of Substances with Supercritical Fluids from Solid Substrates, extracts. Smaller scale processes comprise extractions of spices, flavoring compounds and other highly valued compounds. The extraction of high quality edible oils is under investigation. It would be a large scale process, but as for all commodity products, the value added is not high, so the economy of the process is the main problem.
