Gangliosides of the Neuron: Localization and Origindissected Deiter’s neurons from ox brain stem (8) but even this value was below that of whole gray matter. Similarly, a neuron preparation from pig brain stem gave a concentration of ganglioside NANA well below that of pig gray matter (9).

The Role of Gangliosides in the Action of Cholera Toxin can be isolated during the process of purification of cholera toxin from . culture filtrates (Finkelstein and LoSpalluto 1970). Subunit A, which is connected to choleragenoid by only weak forces, can be dissociated from it by acid or by urea.
