Pigments and Preservation in Caddis Larvae and Pupae,The vivid green colour in the haemolymph of certain caddis larvae and pupae, which is most intense in the prepupa and pupa, is very difficult to preserve after death. In . (Curt.) it is thought to be due to a bilin-type, blue-green zoochrome and a xanthophyll. Possible methods of fixation and preservation to retain the colour are discussed.

Models of Venus AtmosphereIn the context of an International Space Science Institute (ISSI) working group, we have conducted a project to compare the most recent General Circulation Models (GCMs) of the Venus atmospheric circulation. A common configuration has been decided, with simple physical parametrization for the solar forcing and the boundary layer scheme.
