Buckling of Axially Compressed Imperfect Cylinders and Ring Stiffened Cylinders Under External Preshavior of cylindrical shells under axial loading or lateral pressure..Specific measurement systems are necessary for these types of tests. In particular, we describe an original application of the projected fringes method to the case of a complete cylindrical shell. Also experimental results are presented.
