Effect of Prolonged Acetylcholinesterase Inhibition on Postnatal Brain Development in Rabbit I. Levecaused the increase of serotonin concentration in all brain regions. After prolonged intoxication the decrease of serotonin concentration in brain stem, mesencephalon and hippocampus for 78, 74, 41% respectively was observed. The cholinergic-serotonergic link is discussed.

Acceleration Induced Head Injury in the Monkey. I. The Model, Its Mechanical and Physiological Correock tester subjects a monkey to a non-impact controlled single sagittal rotation which displaces the head 60° in 10–20 msec. Results derived from 53 experiments show that a good correlation exists between acceleration delivered to the head, the resultant neurological status and the brain pathology.

Glucose Utilization During Chromatolysis: a 14C Deoxyglucose Studyowed increased radioactivity in the motor nuclei of the operated side between land 28 days post operation. This suggests an increase of glucose utilization and thus an enhanced energy supply to the facial and hypoglossal nuclei during the process of axonal reaction.
