Comparision of Paced and Unpaced Performance,It has been shown that when experienced workers in industry, engaged on repetitive method-studied tasks, are free to work at their own pace, their performance displays a highly consistent pattern, the principal feature of which is the absence of any trend in operation times throughout the work period (Chapter 7).
