As far as Europe is concerned, geothermal energy is exploited only in Italy (electricity generation from steam) and in France (space heating with hot water).

All of them are governed by a great number of constraints, resulting from the nany factors to be taken into consideration, the complexity of their interrelationships and the way they vary with time.
