Welfare in a Global Steady-State Economy,Rosin (or resin acid) the non-volatile fraction obtained by steam distillation of resin consists of a mixture of some isomeric diterpene acids, the most abundant being the abietic acid. Resin acid and its salts are mostly used as driers in varnishes, paints, etc. because of their surface active behaviour.

The influence of dispersed phase volume and particle size distribution on the rheology of oil-in-oiIt has been shown earlier (1), that in addition to normal oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions, a new third type of oil-in-oil emulsion can be prepared with two nonaqueous immiscible liquids as continuous and disperse phases and surfactant as emulsifying agent.
