Electroslag Remelting at the “Elektrostal” PlantThe “Elektrostal” plant currently uses several single-phase, OKB-905-type, electroslag remelting (ESR) installations that produce two sizes of round ingots, 0.25 and 0.42 m in diameter and 0.5 and 1.4 tons in weight respectively, and an OKB-906, three-phase installation that produces 4.2-ton ingots, 0.7 m in dia-meter.
