Overview of Composite-Based Transmission Pylons,y composite pylon concept in the research project of “Power Pylons of the Future (PoPyFu)” is introduced. The fully composite pylon’s design and experimental test challenges are described and the research objectives of the project to design and verify the electrical performance of the fully composite pylon are highlighted.
