Fish Remains from the Last Interglacial at Bir Tarfawi (Eastern Sahara, Egypt)third and fourth lakes) yielded fish remains. Various absolute dating methods suggest that these three lakes occurred within an interval of <10 kyr at about 135 ka. The Grey Phases have been correlated with some part of Isotope Stage 5 (Wendorf . 1991; Chs. 11–18, this volume).

Optical Dating of Sediment Samples from Bir Tarfawi and Bir Sahara East: an Initial Reportinescence (OSL) dating technique. This article documents the results obtained for nine of those samples submitted. Upon completion of further investigations, age assessments for the remainder of the samples will be discussed elsewhere.
