Underwater construction and operational noise at ,SCI. During the installation of a tripod, a prototype noise mitigation (Small Bubble Curtain) system was tested and evaluated. Measurements of operational noise were made in May and June 2011. This was the first operating noise measurement on wind turbines in the 5 MW class; until then, only smaller turbines had been evaluated.

Visual surveys and stationary acoustic monitoring showed a strong avoidance reaction during pile-driving while during the operational period results were inconclusive.
