Farm Labour and the Second World Waro interpret quasielastic and inelastic NS data, namely molecular dynamics and lattice dynamics. The combination of diffraction and spectroscopy with surface sensitivity gives direct information to help us relate flow to structure and diffusivity in the region very near to the surface. Future perspectives on the use of grazing incident scattering techniques are discussed.
