Experimental Investigation of the Failure Rate Dependency of Composite Materials Using Off-Axis Tenmodel. The numerical simulations enable the calculation of corrections to take into account the effect of end constraints for such low aspect ratio specimens. Finally, an increase of the material strength with the strain-rate is observed.

Dieter Fuchs,Robert Rohrschneiderut they are significantly lower than those reported in laser-driven shock studies on thin gold samples. Overall, our results show that electroplating is a viable method for producing gold samples that have dynamic mechanical properties comparable to those produced by conventional techniques.
