Pharmacologic Modulation of the Immune Response Against Tumours in the Elderly,the elderly, metformin and valproic acid, have been shown to have anti-neoplastic effects. These effects suggest that therapeutic approaches in the elderly should be carefully analysed. Clinical trials are required to assess the exact role of immune response and therapy in tumour incidence and survival in the elderly.
