Molecular Basis for Medicinal Actions of Androgens and Green Tea Epigallocatechin Gallate, tea catechin, (-)epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), can regulate biological actions of androgens and other hormones. Androgens and EGCG can also modulate the growth of androgen-dependent and independent prostate cancers, as well as other hormone related abnormalities.
