Momentum Sinks,tial state. Two examples of sinks will be treated in this section: neutral damping (Sect. 3.1) and magnetic braking (Sect. 3.2) due to neo-classical toroidal viscosity (NTV) resulting from non-axisymmetric magnetic fields. The effects of edge localized modes (ELMs) on rotation are considered in Sect. 3.3.
