Scaling Theory of the Strength of Percolation Networksc. These brittle networks may be toughened, and the brittle to tough transition may be quantified by studies of the network damage as a function of the toughening parameters. In the case of toughening by residual bonding, a sharp brittle to tough transition appears to occur.
