Fusion commences near the midpoint of the embryo and progresses rostrally and caudally and is usually complete by the end of the fourth week. The early formation of the neural tube by primary neurulation is now basically complete.

This iophendylate (Pantopaque) was replaced by non-ionic water-soluble metrizamide (Amipaque) in 1973. Spinal angiography, since its introduction by Djindjian in 1963, has had a limited role in the investigation of vascular lesions of the spinal cord.

Craniocervical Anomalies and Non-traumatic Syringomyelia, found together in the same patient.
