Finite Differences,verges to the true-solution u. The derivatives occurring in the differential equation, then, are approximated in terms of discrete changes rather than the rate of changes. This can be accomplished by using either one-sided differences as in the case of ‘backward’ ? or ‘forward’ ? differences.or in terms of ‘central’ differences
