A Model of the Receptive Fields of Mammal Visiond to have an homogeneous distribution of retinal ganglion receptive fields. A simple transformation allows to model complex and hypercomp lex cells. Called a “synoptical heptarchy”, this set of transforms explains a number of features of the receptive fields: symmetry, orientation, spatial frequency characteristics, and complexity.
