Interfaces in Metal/Ceramic Diffusion BondsO.. The existence of such a reaction was further characterised by optical and electron microscopy (TEM). Possible eutectic temperatures were found at 707 and 890° by differential thermal analysis (DTA)..TEM results of Pd/Al.O. found no reaction layer between these two materials. This possibly explains the low strengths of these diffusion bonds.
