描述In order to compete in the current commercial environmentcompanies must produce greater product variety, at lower cost, allwithin areduced product life cycle.To achieve this, a concurrentengineering philosophy is often adopted. In many cases the mainrealization of this is Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFM/A).There is a need for in-depth study of the architectures for DFM/Asystems in order that the latest software and knowledge-basedtechniques may be used to deliver the DFM/A systems of tomorrow.Thisarchitecture must be based upon complete understanding of theissuesinvolved in integrating the design and manufacturing domains.Thisbook provides a comprehensive view of the capabilities ofadvancedDFM/A systems based on a common architecture.

Chemische und tribologische Eigenschaftenbasis for the commencement of work on four prototypes. This initial structure was the result of experience and intuition rather than a purely analytical approach.
