Fatigue Softening in Precipitation Hardened Copper-Cobalt Single CrystalsBs form also gradually at stress amplitudes around τ. where τ. is the amplitude after the softening process has ceased in a strain controlled experiment. At stress amplitude close to the CRSS micro-PSBs are found which may also lead to failure in a high cycle experiment. From these results conclusions for polycrystals are drawn.

Intergranular Fracture Criteria and Interfacial Thermodynamic Propertiesough to allow full adsorption equilibrium. An atomistic model has been developed in order to evaluate the interfacial potential at ordinary temperatures. The prediction of the model is in very good agreement with the experimental observations on the embrittlement of Cu by Bi.

The Behavior of Dislocations and the Formation of Wall Structures Observed by in Situ High Voltage E surface markings, i.e., the persistent slip bands (PSBs) during the cyclic deformation of Cu-2at%Al single crystals by carrying out in situ fatigue experiments in our 1000 kV HVEM in order to obtain the information useful for elucidating the formation mechanism of the wall structure and the PSBs.
