Cooperative Prefetching Strategies for Mobile Peers in a Broadcast Environment We propose a novel scheme called the Announcement-based Cooperative Prefetching (ACP) to enable mobile peers to prefetch and share different objects. Our simulation results show that our cooperative prefetching scheme performs much better than individual prefetching and cooperative caching schemes.

Processing Rank-Aware Queries in P2P Systemsilable statistics. In this paper, we address this problem by presenting approaches relying on the R-tree and histogram-based index structures. We show how this allows for optimizing rank-aware queries even over multiple attributes and thus significantly enhances the efficiency of query processing.
