Theoretical Study of the Collective Electronic Excitations of the Endohedral Clusters Na,@C,,of graphite. The presence of the endohedral Na clusters shifts this resonance by 0.2 eV to higher energies. A small feature also appears at 3 eV, associated to the well known collective resonance of free sodium clusters.

Magnetism of Transition Metal Clusters: Overview and Perspectives,, bond-length relaxations and changes in structure is analyzed concisely within this framework. A rigorous study of electron correlations, magnetism and cluster structure within the topological Hubbard model is then surveyed. Current perspectives are discussed giving emphasis to finite temperature phenomena.
