Lethal yellowing resistance in coconut germplasm from Méxicon coasts, it spread towards Belize and Honduras (Ashburner ., 1996). The dispersal of this disease in México has devastated the coconut producing areas and transformed the landscape dramatically, due to the high susceptibility of the materials planted (Oropeza and Zizumbo, 1997).
