Training by and for Employers: ,High energy electron-, X-ray- or gamma-irradiation is known to result in degradation and/or crosslinking of polymers [1]. Crosslinking usually dominates when the polymer is irradiated in the absence of oxygen while degradation is overwhelming when oxygen is present.
