There are four levels of respiratory monitoring discussed in this paper: (a) disaster prevention, (b) mechanics monitoring, (c) blood-gas monitoring, and (d) derived-parameters monitoring.

Disseminated Intravascular Coagulationin the flowing blood throughout the vascular tree which may obstruct the microcirculation. It may or may not result in an accumulation of fibrin but does involve the transformation of fibrinogen into fibrin.
