Nomadic Device Based CRL Acquisition Method for Vehicular Networks with nearby RSUs, the nomadic device acts as a security mediator to perform vehicle’s security functions continuously through cellular networks. Therefore, even if RSUs are not deployed or sparsely deployed, vehicle’s security threats could be minimized by receiving the most recent CRLs in a reasonable time.

Load-Balanced Handover Based on Adaptive Hysteresis in a Femto-Cell System allocation status of target base station. The simulation results show that the proposed schemes reduce the ping-pong rate and improve the MS’s handover-related performance in terms of handover failure probability compared with the conventional handover method in a femto-cell system.

Optimising Flash Memory for Differing Usage Scenarios: Goals and Approachsh memory chips to retain information when powered off needs to be balanced against their ability to be repeatedly programmed. This provides an opportunity to optimise the chips’ control parameters to adjust the chips’ operation to fit their desired operating scenarios, thereby resulting in a saving for both manufacturers and users.
