Conceptual Design of Parallel Systems, constructs are presented to show how the design method can take into account different types of parallelism problems. These constructs are illustrated by examples. The design method is not specific to databases and can be applied to concurrent systems design.

From Ancient Egyptian Language to Future Conceptual Modeling,this paper, construction methods of the ancient Egyptian hieroglyph are analyzed with respect to the construction methods of Chinese characters and the conceptual modeling principles. At the end, possible applications and extensions of this research work are discussed.

Perspectives in Modeling: Simulation, Database, and Workflow, generally considered to be easier to create and understand than one dimensional models. Furthermore, just as richly linked text is referred to as hyper-text, richly linked diagrams may be referred to as hyper-diagrams. Two modeling toolkits, METEOR Designer and the JSIM Modeling Toolkit, illustrate the advantages of using such approaches.
