Developing a Multimedia Environment to Aid in Vocalization for People on the Autism Spectrum: A User technology can help in encouraging the vocalization of children with autism. The design stage involved iterative development with prototype evaluations with specialists to refine system functionality and ensure the accessibility and usability of the system. Insights from involving users in different roles are described.
