A Novel Approach to Find Minimum Cost Spanning Tree (MST) of a Graph, requires level-wise sorted order of edges. This proposed a level-wise sorting of edges minimizes the total execution time required to execute the overall procedure. Another advantage with this approach is, cycle checking is not required in phase 1 of algorithm.

A Fusion Method for Automated Segmentation of the Lungs from the Chest X-Rays,e results of active shape models’ detection of the lungs are further refined using morphological operations. The segmentation results show an accuracy of around 96% on the images from a publicly available dataset. This approach has the potential to be extended to other organs or object of interest in non-medical image segmentation problem.

Metamaterial-Inspired Circularly Polarized Microstrip Patch Antenna,ted circular metamaterial rings on its ground plane, an improvement in gain by 0.4?dBic and enhancement in bandwidth by 15?MHz is observed. The three?dB axial ratio bandwidth of this composite structure is 610?MHz. The proposed metamaterial-inspired microstrip patch antenna possesses the overall size of 37.53?mm?×?37.53?mm?×?1.6?mm.
