Assuming an instability of a potential system, the problem of the possibility of its stabilization up?to asymptotic stability is considered. A parametric analysis of the obtained inequalities with the help of “Mathematica” built-in?tools for symbolic-numerical modelling is carried out.

We demonstrate that those techniques benefit tremendously from a newly implemented graph theoretical symbolic preprocessing method. We compare computation times and quality of results of numerical continuation methods with our symbolic approach before and after the application of our preprocessing.
