Adaptive Mesh Refinement and Domain Decomposition: A Framework to Study Multi-physical and Multi-scadels, as each grid level can use a different solver. Compact conditions have to be defined and these are problems which are at the core of Domain Decomposition methods. An application to a planar shock interacting with a circular diffusion H2-air flame is presented.

Numerical Simulation of Phase Transformations in Shape Memory Alloy Thin Filmspaper. The computational model is based on an approach which combines the lattice based kinetics involving the order variables and non-equilibrium thermodynamics. Algorithmic and computational issues are discussed. Numerical results on phase nucleation under mechanical loading are reported.
