Estimation of transvalvular pressure drops by Doppler echocardiography: the Bernoulli equation revis they estimated the blood flow velocity at the orifice by an invasive pressure drop measurement. The application of Bernoulli’s equation has received renewed interest because pressure drops across stenotic valves are now being estimated using non-invasive blood velocity measurements by Doppler echocardiography.
