23120000 Stift, Nagel, Haken, NietPoland first proposed the classification of epiphyseal injuries in children in 1898. In 1863, Salter-Harris divided epiphyseal injuries in children into five types, which has been widely accepted. Mercer Rang added type VI based on the classification of Salter-Harris.

Classification of Humeral Fractures,Kocher first proposed his classification of proximal humeral fractures based on anatomic location in 1896; to date, there are >5 classification systems of proximal humeral fractures in literature. According to the literature over the last 5?years, the most commonly used system is the Neer’s classification, followed by the AO/OTA classification.

Classification of Femoral Fractures,Pipkin proposed a classification system for femoral head fractures in 1957 for the first time. So far, there are nearly ten kinds of classification that can be found. According to the last 5?years’ literature reported, Pipkin was the most useful classification followed by AO/OTA and Brumbaek classification.

Classification of Hip Joint and Lower Extremity Dislocations,A classification of hip joint dislocations was first proposed by Ashley Copper in 1791, which divided them into four types; types I–III were associated with different degrees of acetabular fractures, and type IV was associated with femoral head and neck fractures.
