A paedomorphic form type of , SARS, 1903 (Cladocera, Daphniidae) from Mongoliadge, leading to retrocurved shape of the head and a concavity of the dorsal shell margin. This excessive form type of the adult is a paedomorphic characteristic. It is assumed, that the retrocurved elongation of the head and the crescent-like shape of the valves are adaptations to a pelagic mode of life.
