Theoretical Framework, Literature Review, and the Current Project,rature on learning to read through one-way immersion programs involving different language pairs, notably French immersion in Canada, foreign language immersion in North America, and English immersion in China. Based on the review, this chapter outlines the research questions and methodology used in the current project.
