Simple bond fissioning, multicentered elimination, as well as auto-catalytic decomposition mechanisms are presented and discussed. As a particular example, the decomposition mechanisms of nitramine compounds are presented in detail.

Molecular Dynamics Approach to Detonation Studies and Related Problems in the Condensed Phase,on processes. We found that the details of the atomic motion provided a systematic method for investigating the energy relaxation processes, and led to a better understanding of some of the mechanisms involved. In the study of heat waves our results not only agreed well with experimental measurements but also clarified their interpretation.
