Other mathematical programming methods for cell formation,ication of machines. The duplication of machines requires additional capital investment. However, if we allow for alternate plans (operation sequence and machine assignment), and for each part select plans during cell formation, it may be possible to select plans which can be processed within a cell without additional investment.
