Development of Cholinergic and Amino Acid Neurotransmitter Systems in the Chick Retina,bb, 1957; Graham, 1974; Ross and McDougal, 1976; Masland and Ames, 1976; Baughman and Bader, 1977). The first cellular localization of this system was achieved by the use of an autoradiographic technique with chick retina (Baughman and Bader, 1977). A similar technique was applied with similar results in the rabbit retina (Masland and Mills, 1979).
