Nonlinear Physics of Epidemics: Part B,er parameters are determined. It is demonstrated that within the SEIR modeling framework, the SEI order parameter determines the initial stage of epidemics. An application to the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan, China, during the year 2020 is also presented.

These key characteristics of virus infections are worked out for the virus dynamics models introduced in the previous chapter.
