New Procedures for Generating Optimal Experimental Designs the computer generation of exact D-optimal designs is carried out. Among algorithms considered were those due to Fedorov, Wynn, Mitchell, and Johnson and Nachtsheim. It is shown that by the use of CDOP efficient designs can be obtained on convex design spaces.
