The Move to Outright Criticism of Israel, led the successful landmark vote at the 1982 TUC Congress which condemned Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and recognised the right of the Palestinian Arabs to self-determination and their own state. This vote by Congress marked the end of twenty years of support by the TUC for Israel and the Histadrut.
