Introduction to strongly correlated systems,and regridding insure stability of the overall scheme. The method allows one to simulate directly the behavior of very thin dynamic films left behind a receding meniscus. The numerical results are compared with both experimental observations and calculations based on a simplified theoretical analysis.

A Numerical Simulation of Cross Flow Fanrtex distributions on the boundaries and blades, and free vortices shed from the impeller blades following Kelvin’s circulation theorem. Numerical simulation results are in good agreement with experimental results.

Including Sharp Edge Vortex Shedding in Boundary Integral Solutions for Two Dimensional Potential Fl the inner region solution to the problem of flow past the normal plate. This inner region solution has to be matched with the outer potential flow solution. The combination of boundary element and discrete vortex methods provides this matching and at the same time do not require calculations inside the domain.

Hydrodynamic Properties of Multiple Floating and Submerged Bodies Analysed by a Panel Methodand motions calculated by the method of expansion in matched eigenfunctions. The agreement is good..As practical applications, the effect of offset between buoy and plate and the effect of the shape of the buoy and plate are investigated..The programme is coded in FORTRAN 77 and is presently run on a PC 386.

https://doi.org/10.1007/b138241g rise to “hybrid” elements for both the integral and integro-differential equations. These methods yield improved accuracy but they cannot be conveniently applied to a large computational domain without a sharp increase in nodes and discretization elements.
