Early Systems of Formal Pragmaticson for refugees who, in defiance of the state’s asylum laws, were seeking to reside in Berlin rather than in their mass accommodations. This chapter focuses in particular on some of the frictions that arose on account of doing practical solidarity work while engaging in anti-racist politics.
