Structure Interactions,by these interactions. In this chapter I will discuss the roles of blast wave overpressure and dynamic pressure in generating loads on structures and vehicles. The damage caused by these loads is beyond the scope of this text and is the subject of an entire field of study.

External Detonations,oof of a structure are much more substantial than the doors and windows. For most of the experiments that I will be using, the walls were reinforced concrete at least several inches thick. In several of the experiments the doors and windows were simply openings in the structure walls with open doorways between rooms.
